What information do we collect?

When you register with Astel, for either a product enquiry, or to receive marketing information, we will collect some or all of the following information:
  • Name, Email address, postal address, business contact and billing information,
  • Name, address details and contact details for your end users.
  • Your preferences on what marketing information (if any) you’d like to receive

You can notify Astel about any changes to this information by contacting us by phone or email. You may also request to remove this data by contacting us.

How do we use this information?

When registering with Astel you will be asked for your consent for us to use your information for the purposes listed below:
  • To enable us to confirm your business details when setting up an account, for legal, financial and contractual purposes so that we may provide commercial services to you.
  • To carry out basic checks for due diligence when setting up accounts to ensure all details are genuine and correct and to avoid fraudulent use of data.
  • To allow us to comply with legal requirements placed upon us.
  • To enable delivery of goods to your end users.
  • To facilitate the purchase of software licensing.
  • To send you tailored communications by post or email about new products, promotions,
news items, special offers or other useful items of interest. We will keep your data for the duration of our joint relationship. Data will be retained in accordance with legal requirements and be deleted after such requirements are met. For example, if we end our relationship, data will be retained for seven years and then destroyed.

Who has access to your data?

At Astel we take care to ensure personal data is only accessible to those who have a business need. For example, when setting up an account, the data used for that purpose is only accessible to employees involved in that process.  Personal data is not accessible to employees for whom there is no business need.

Who do we share your information with?

Astel will only share your information with third parties as required to enable us to comply with the law, to setup and transact our business together or to deliver products to you or your customers, as follows:
  • Vendors for the purpose of completing software licence purchase and renewals.
  • Delivery firms in order to deliver goods to you or your customer.
  • We may pass your marketing information to an authorised marketing agency, only if they are acting directly for Astel and this data will be deleted immediately following that specific Astel activity.
In each case, the third party will be obliged to follow GDPR and other relevant privacy regulations and guidelines in order to safeguard your data. Your data will not be passed outside the European Economic Area as per the GDPR regulation. If you do not wish your data to be shared in this way, you can inform us.

Correction of your data

If you believe we have any incorrect personal information about you, please advise the changes via
privacy@astel-uk.com email address.

Astel may make occasional changes to this policy in order to ensure compliance and best practice. The latest version of this document will be available at Privacy policy and the date will reflect when the latest changes were made.
